Entrepreneurship means the ability to turn ideas into actions that bring tangible benefits. Entrepreneurial activities may involve setting up your own business and fulfilling the role of an entrepreneur, but not only. Entrepreneurial activities are also associated with the role of both the manager and the employee subordinate to him. By fulfilling these roles, you are responsible for tasks, people and processes. By being entrepreneurial, you increase your chances of professional success. Remember that an entrepreneurial person can be defined by a specific set of traits, skills and how they work. Together with the Careers Office you can shape entrepreneurial traits and develop valuable skills. You can develop entrepreneurial, using the offer of the Careers Office itself and other units of Lodz University of Technology:
1. Training and workshops
Take part in trainings and workshops on the development of entrepreneurial competences, organized every month by our office. Examples of training topics: negotiations, business communication, project team management.
2. Consultation with a tax advisor and lawyer
We have established cooperation with a tax office and a law firm that provide professional consulting services for the Careers Office. During individual advice, you can discuss your business idea in terms of formal and legal or accounting and tax aspects.
3. Business Coaching
By working with the coach, you will receive support in defining and achieving your goals. During the session, incorrect habits are identified, and a new system of action is developed, thanks to which the client achieves the intended goals. Work is about both professional and interpersonal skills. As part of the cooperation, we offer individual and team coaching.
4. Startups Powered By Invest In Lodz
The Lodz University of Technology is a Strategic Partner of the largest Lodz competition dedicated to start-ups and people with an idea for their own business. As part of the competition, we offer business mentoring, specialist training and meetings with investors. The total amount of prizes in the competition: PLN 200,000.

5. Student research groups and student organisations:
Activity in research groups and student organisations is a great way to develop entrepreneurial qualities, meet new people, as well as gain valuable experience in working in a team and cooperation with companies.

6. Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The unit conducts comprehensive activities aimed at promoting innovative solutions, the creators of which are students and employees of Lodz University of Technology. It supports clients in the process of intellectual property protection, commercialisation, and sale of solutions.
