The Career Office supports employees of Łódź University of Technology in their professional development, effective cooperation and building a positive and supportive working environment.
We offer individual consultations, training and workshops, team development support and consultation on challenging workplace situations. Our support is tailored to the needs of employees, managers and individual teams.
Employees can consult us on issues related to:
- professional development and career planning,
- communication and workplace relationships,
- difficult situations and challenges at work,
- preparing for important conversations,
- setting goals and planning further development,
- changes in professional roles and responsibilities.
We also support managers and teams in improving communication and cooperation, strengthening teamwork, developing leadership skills and addressing specific challenges affecting team functioning. Depending on the needs, support may take the form of an individual consultation, workshop, a series of meetings or a longer-term development process.
As part of our support for recruitment and employee development, we assist with recruitment processes, including defining candidate profiles, preparing and conducting interviews and selecting appropriate methods for assessing competencies. We also provide support in preparing and conducting performance appraisal and development conversations. The Extended DISC analysis may be used as an additional tool to better understand communication styles, ways of working and decision-making.
An important part of our work is contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment. We provide consultation concerning difficult workplace situations, unequal treatment, discrimination, mobbing and other unwanted behaviours, helping employees and managers better understand the situation and consider appropriate ways of responding. We also contribute to the implementation of the University's Gender Equality Plan and activities related to equality and diversity.
The Career Office is also involved in HR Excellence in Research, supporting the professional and scientific development of employees and contributing to initiatives aimed at creating an environment that supports researchers' career development.
